UPDATE 15/3/22: Rockstar says it has successfully fixed the issue preventing players from migrating their GTA Online progress from PS4 or Xbox One to the newly released enhanced PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version if they’d previously migrated to PC.
“The issue blocking GTA Online profile migration of PS4 and Xbox One accounts that were previously migrated to PC has been addressed,” the company wrote in a tweet shared by its official support account, adding that migration “is now working as intended”.
It also reminded players still struggling to transfer their progress that GTA Online profiles on PC cannot be migrated to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S.
ORIGINAL STORY 14/3/22: Rockstar has detailed the steps required to migrate GTA Online progress from PS4 or Xbox One to the enhanced PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version ahead of release tomorrow, 15th March, but says it’s “working to resolve” an issue affecting players who’ve previously migrated to PC.
