She was back in the stands for Villa’s dramatic clash with Chelsea. Luiz started that game, before being withdrawn with a yellow card to his name, and Villa hung on to take a point in a 2-2 draw that saw them throw away a two-goal lead and survive late VAR controversy.

DID YOU KNOW?

Chelsea thought that they had snatched a winner through Axel Disasi, only to see that effort ruled out on review for a supposed push by Benoit Badiashile. Lehmann was among those watching on, with Swiss colleague Amira Arfaoui by her side.

WHAT NEXT?

Villa’s women’s team will be in WSL action on Sunday when they take in a home date with Lehmann’s former club West Ham. They have just three games on their schedule this season, while Luiz and Co have three Premier League games and a Europa Conference League semi-final clash with Olympiacos to come.
