Per Florian Plettenberg, the German midfielder will not leave Bayern in the upcoming January transfer window as he has decided to stay at the Bavarian club at least until the end of the season. Goretzka was strongly linked with a move away from the German giants in January with several top clubs keen on signing him, including Premier League giants United and Spurs.

The 29-year-old has seen his game time massively reduced under new boss Vincent Kompany, starting only three of the seven league games in which he has featured this season. His contract expires in the summer of 2026.
